GE introduces the Safire topside multiphase flow meter – capable of accurately measuring oil flow and water cut while in the presence of up to 40% gas volume fraction (GVF) for oil well production. Developed in partnership with Chevron and Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), the compact and economical design of the Safire meter combines patent and technology from GE and LANL to measure total liquid flow, oil flow, and water cut. In recognition of this accomplishment, R&D Magazine recently recognized Safire as a 2014 R&D 100 winner, a prestigious award recognizing the top 100 technologies introduced into the marketplace over the past year.
Features
