- Complex mixing of tone and masking possible in one ear.
- Optional high frequency AC up to 16 kHz
The Maico MA 53 is a stand-alone diagnostic audiometer which has a rugged integral carrying case with ample storage space for all the accessories. This instrument performs air conduction, bone conduction tests, using headphone and bone conductor. The built-in stimuli include pure tone, warble tone, pulsed, continuous, narrow band noise, white noise and speech noise. It is also possible to facilitate the routing of two different signals into the same ear.
It is designed for use in ENT clinics, hearing aid clinics and for mobile applications. Its design allows for easy transportation. In addition to all the standard threshold tests it is possible to perform SISI, DLI, Tone Decay and Stenger tests. There are inputs for CD/Tape, stereo live speech microphones, external masking, patient microphone and patient response button.
There is an air conduction high frequency option allowing testing up to 16 kHz.
It features a full range of frequencies for air and bone conduction. This Type 1 audiometer has hearing level range of -10 dBHL to 120 dBHL for air conduction and -10 dBHL to 70 dBHL for bone conduction [dependent on transducers and frequency]. Dependent on speakers it is possible to achieve hearing level range of at least -10 dBHL to 90 dBHL at one metre. The attenuator steps sizes are 1, 2, and 5 dB. The PC interface is via USB.
The unit is supplied with DD45 headset, B71 bone vibrator, patient response switch, 2 metre mains cable, live speech microphone and an audiogram pad.
Optional accessories include insert phones, free-field speakers, assistant phone, talk back microphone, monitor phone and HDA 300 headset with H/F option.
