The LS2100e Static Starter is used to start heavy-duty gas turbines. It offers improved performance, protection, operability, reliability and flexibility for operations. The static starter is a more economical starting device for a large turbine than a motor, diesel engine, or torque converter. As a member of the Mark VIe controls family, it uses a common controller and ControlST software suite as other Mark VIe-based controls, to simplify plant operations and maintenance.
